It's settled

July 1st, 2009 (03:18 pm)
hot

current mood: hot

The dogs and I took a vote, and we decided that there's absolutely nothing wrong with my staying right here* with the fan blowing on us all until this heat wave goes away. Which I reckon should be late September. You only see Guinness in the photo, but Margot is under the bed in Fort Emo, and Rex is sprawled out on the floor at the foot of the bed awaiting Tim's return.

*Except for going to the gym, of course.

Every day.

In fact, I don't really consider this made, because the pillows with the shams are in front of the other pillows when the bed is made--plus the quilt and sheet aren't turned down.

Keelie makes some mention about making beds that made me chuckle, as I was fairly certain it was the author giving me a frown.

Dopey

I make my bed every day too, which is easy, since I don't move around too much when I sleep.

Sometimes it looks like I made the bed while I'm still in it.

fake smokin' at age 12

I understand! My mother used to say about me when I was a kid that I treated my bed like an envelope. When I got out of it in the mornings, I just had to pat the top of the covers back in place.

Come on up here!
The temps are in the low 70's, gets into the 50's at night. On the news this morning they were talking about how we're having early October weather right now.

These idiot dogs want to lie out on the burned yard for as long as I'll let them. It's not just Buddy--they're insane. But they are content to lie in here with me, too, when I force them inside.

BK: Life so hard

I feel like such an underachiever.....I never make my bed.

It's one of those things my mother drilled into me--because if you drop dead away from home, people will come into your house and see that YOU DID NOT MAKE YOUR BED!

The horror.

*Fail* Duck Hunt

Hmmm....I was only told to wear clean underwear when you left the house. Silly me!

It's quite cool and damp here in the Semi-Medium-Sized Woods,
with a breeze from Lake Erie that won't quit.

That's fine for me -- Celtic skin and hair + burning sun =
unhappy camper.

You're welcome to hide out here until you turn into a mushroom!

"we decided that there's absolutely nothing wrong with my staying right here* with the fan blowing on us all until this heat wave goes away."

Good idea!

We finally got a break from the heat this week. Today was excellent. I don't think it even hit 80. A wonderful breeze just added to the excellence.

That will happen for us, too--in October.
